The company have pulled their new moisturizer off shelves after it encouraged street harassment. The Gud product (a sister company to BB which is owned by the company) features a blurb on the side of the tub that included 'and let the catcalling commence'. Anti harassment groups went nuts over this in America stating that it encouraged harassment.
They started a petition to remove the product which was pretty successful as BB have now removed the product completely and released this statement :
'“Our products are designed to make women feel good on the inside and out. We want women everywhere to be able to enjoy amazing smelling natural personal care products that will leave them smiling, not attracting undesirable and disrespectful attention.'
Catcalling is one seriously annoying form of harassment which most women have experienced (and men too) at some point in their lives. What do you think though? Over reaction? or totally right?
